Intro about the Country
The country comprises two main beautiful islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and several smaller islands around. It lies close to South America, with Venezuela to the southwest and Guyana to the southeast. Trinidad and Tobago are well known for their three mountain ranges, colorful carnival festival, sandy beaches, enchanting waterfalls, delicious food, multicultural and natural resources such as petroleum and natural gas, agricultural products: sugarcane, cocoa, coffee, vegetables and fruits, and last but not least the famous steel pan and soca music. We are a multitalented population with an average of 1.4 million people from all walks of life. Trinidad and Tobago are rich in history; we gained independence in 1962 from Britain and become a Republic in 1976. Following the Westminster model of government to maintain the traditions of parliamentary democracy.
