Female Wave of Change welcomes Dr Tatiana Rowson as member of Circle of Wise Woman
Female Wave of Change is very excited to welcome Dr Tatiana Rowson in our Circle of Wise Women. Dr Tatiana was introduced to us by our ambassador Qatar Adriana Meyer, a former Master student but later performed research together. Her passion for women’s work identity and for research made her offer her contribution to Female Wave of Change in doing research on eg Authentic Feminine Leadership.
“I am an academic, researcher and facilitator based at Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK. I am the Programme Director for the BA Business and Management and am responsible for the personal and professional development of students in MBA, Masters and Undergraduate programmes.
Trained Counsellor and Clinical Psychologist
My research takes a life-course perspective to explore life, work and career transitions, with a focus on midlife and beyond. I am particularly interested in how these transitions impact the experience of ageing and well-being at work, and the labour force participation and economic activity in later life. I am passionate about research that improves the quality of life of people in the real world. My latest projects focus on the role of life and career transitions on women’s work identity and economic independence.
Originally trained as a Counselling and Clinical Psychologist, I am an experienced executive coach, learning & development consultant and facilitator. I have acted as a consultant for several high profile national and international, public and private organisations in the UK, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates, operating in various sectors including banking and finance, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, media, energy and manufacturing.
Doctor in Research and Qualified Coach
In 2013, I was awarded a PhD from Keele University, UK, for my research exploring the transition and adjustment to retirement. I have an MBA from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and also trained as a Systemic Therapist (family & group therapy). An Honourary Founding Member of the Association for Coaching, I am a qualified executive coach and coaching supervisor.”
Female Wave of Change
“I joined FWoC because I believe that collectively we can empower women to become true agents of change. As a researcher, I learned that when women are authentic and stand by feminine values, they can overcome the structural barriers that hold them back. Awareness, information and open dialogue are at the heart creating a more inclusive, diverse and compassionate world for all of us, women and men. As a mother of 3 girls, it is my duty to join the conversation. “
