Tears of Joy: Celebrating the Life and Times of Dr Thandi Ndluvo

It is an honour and a great privilege to grant the late Dr Thandi Ndlovu a posthumous award in recognition and appreciation of her outstanding leadership roles that she played on various platforms across the globe, as well as all the great achievements she accomplished in many spheres.

She was a warrior, a freedom fighter, a brilliant doctor, a successful businesswoman, a servant leader, a caring mother and a loving sister. A true friend, a good citizen, Africa’s beautiful daughter and very special to her family. Her compassion and infectious love and laughter live forever.

She will always be remembered for her curiosity, resilience, decisiveness and for her courage to break barriers in male dominated areas and for her determination to explore new vistas. She left a very solid foundation in the military, aviation, medical, construction, business development and community arenas.

Dr Thandi contributed to a more human rights based South Africa, respecting the rights of women. She is an image and a voice of hope to many women who are battling to rise above adversity and be their very best.

Female Wave of Change is grateful for the support and wisdom she shared with our Female wave of Change team South Africa and many women and men, young and old whenever she joined us.  She was and is a role model for many women and we will keep her memories alive.

At the Global Conference gala dinner, Ms Kelikile Mteto, President of South Africa Women in Construction, delivered a heartfelt speech and the award was accepted by Dr. Thandi’s sister Her Excellency Ambassador Jeanette Ndluvo.

May her family cherish this award as a symbol of Love and Peace beyond her days. Dr Thandi Ndlovu may Peace be upon you now and forever. Your Greatness is alive.
